About the album The Everly Brothers
In January 1958, the debut of a duo from the state of Tennessee, The Everly Brothers, was released, and indeed the album was titled with the name of the duo. The album's producer was Archie Bleyer, and the record company was the obscure Cadence Records.
The album included interesting covers of hits from those years, such as Gene Vincent's Be-Bop-a-Lula and Little Richard's Keep A-Knockin'. However, no one would have remembered this album if it didn't contain two of the most defining songs of the rock 'n' roll era, Bye Bye Love and Wake Up Little Susie, which became timeless hits.
The album The Everly Brothers managed to reach No. 16 on the Billboard and gave a boost to the Everly Brothers' career.
