About the album XTRMNTR
The sixth album by Primal Scream will be another musical shift for the Scots. Its title is XTRMNTR and it was released in 2000. Their sound becomes more aggressive and rough. It's as if they push electronic music to its limits. The beats go on and on, and in the end, Primal Scream creates the perfect storm with songs like Accelerator or Swastika Eyes.
The musical reality proposed by Bobby Gillespie and his band is a mix of electro-rock, noise rock, industrial, all with a spirit of extreme experimentation and a desire to blow everything up.
The album reached No. 3 in the United Kingdom and its sales touched 200,000. It is the second most commercially successful album by Primal Scream.
