No Jacket Required by Phil Collins
About the album No Jacket Required
Phil Collins continues to elevate his personal career with No Jacket Required in 1985. In Britain, it was the second best-selling album of the year with 2,000,000 sales, while in the U.S.A. it reached 12,000,000!
The immense success of Collins during that period — which was also helped by No Jacket Required — also came from the songs Against All Odds (OST) and Easy Lover (duet with Philip Bailey).
The title comes from an incident that happened in Chicago, when Collins was denied entry to a restaurant because he was not wearing the appropriate jacket.
