About the album Every Loser

Iggy Pop released the nineteenth studio album of his solo career in January. The album's title was Every Loser. The album marks a return to Iggy Pop's punk rock, garage, and hard rock roots, combining the energy of the Stooges with modern production.

The songs were mainly written by Iggy Pop in collaboration with Andrew Watt, Duff McKagan, and Chad Smith. There were two singles from Every Loser, Frenzy and Strung Out Johnny. The production was taken on by Grammy-winning Andrew Watt, who also played guitar, bass, and keyboards. Iggy Pop had many notable collaborators to record the album. Among them stand out Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters on drums, Duff McKagan of Guns N' Roses on bass, and Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam and Dave Navarro of Jane's Addiction on guitar.

Every Loser reached No. 33 in the United Kingdom and No. 1 in Switzerland (!)
