About the album Huey Lewis & The News
Huey Lewis & The News knew very well in the early '80s how the game was played: either you had a hit on the radio, or you were finished. Five of the nine songs were singles, and Sports swept the charts as it sold 7,000,000 copies in the U.S.
The only album that surpassed it in sales in 1983 was Michael Jackson's Thriller, which had been released a year earlier.
The cover shows the members of the group in a bar because it was common for Americans to gather at bars in the evening and watch sports news!
