We Too Are One by Eurythmics
About the album We Too Are One
In 1989, the Eurythmics with We Too Are One seem to return to the sound that brought them their greatest successes, meaning this particular album seems to maintain a balance between synth-pop and mainstream rock music of the late '80s. This was immediately apparent as the album reached No. 1 in the UK.
The Eurythmics needed to work on the seventh album of their career from August 1988 to May 1989. In the production of the album, apart from Dave Stewart, we also have the American producer Jimmy Iovine. Lennox's performance in all the songs of the record is excellent, and this is evident in one of the duo's most complete songs, Don't Ask Me Why.
In the USA, the album reached No. 31 and sold 600,000 copies there.
