Savage by Eurythmics
About the album Savage
In 1987, the duo of Eurythmics released Savage, which is their sixth studio album. Here, we observe a regression in sound. The group seems to return three to four years back, and the synth-pop and experiments with synthesizers seem to be abundant.
Savage was also a video album, meaning a music video was made for each song. This did not help the album to have the impact that Eurythmics' previous works had. The album is their weakest.
Even though it reached No. 7 in the UK, the large US market only placed it at No. 41. Except for their debut, Savage is Eurythmics' least successful album. Its sales have barely approached 700,000 copies worldwide.
