Revenge by Eurythmics
About the album Revenge
The fifth album by the Eurythmics comes out in 1986. Its style has adapted to the new musical reality dominated by the rock sound, and this can be heard in almost every song or, even better, can be understood from the opening track "Missionary Man," which was the second single from "Revenge." This does not mean that the Eurythmics have abandoned the pop character that characterized their previous work.
The compositions of the album are mostly by the duo, except for "When Tomorrow Comes," in which Patrick Seymour also participated. The album took about ten months to complete, from July 1985 to May 1986. The album's production was done exclusively by Dave Stewart.
"Revenge" is the second most commercially successful studio album by the Eurythmics, with sales exceeding 2,100,000 copies. The album reached No. 3 in Great Britain.
