About the album Violator

The 1990s will usher in pop/rock music with one of its best albums, called Violator, which will be the seventh studio album by the English band Depeche Mode. The group is at the peak of its career and will create some of its most legendary songs.

For their seventh album, Depeche Mode decided to follow a method they had never used before. At the beginning of the composition, they all sat together with producer Flood, whom they were working with for the first time. Everyone contributed their ideas for the new song, and then Andy Fletcher and Martin Gore would leave and come back after some time to give their opinions. Gradually, this led to the songs that comprised Violator. The recordings took place in Italy, Denmark, and England.

Sales of the album have exceeded 7,500,000 copies worldwide, and since then, songs from it have never been absent from the setlists of their concerts.
