Woodface by Crowded House
About the album Woodface
Crowded House with Woodface in 1991 offer one of the best pop/rock albums of all time released in Australia. The album produced five singles which pushed the record to reach No. 6 in the UK and made Woodface the band's first album to enter the UK's Top-10. The fourth single in the series, which was Weather With You, was particularly successful.
Most of the songs on Woodface were compositions by singer Neil Finn and his brother Tim Finn and were intended for an album that the two brothers were going to record. When Crowded House presented what they had prepared for their next album to the people at their record label, they rejected them. Then, with Tim Finn's permission, the brothers' songs were recorded, and Woodface was created.
In the UK, Woodface went double platinum, selling 600,000 copies. In Australia, sales reached 70,000.
