About the album Canciones Para Llevar

The album Canciones Para Llevar by the Argentine artist Coti (Coti Sorokin) was released in March 2004 and marked his second personal project, establishing his solo career after the great successes he wrote for other artists. The album was produced by the renowned Cachorro López, with the valuable collaboration of Coti himself.

The album was recorded in 2004 at the Circo Beat studios in Buenos Aires, while the songs were almost entirely composed in Madrid the previous year. The album is characterized by a bright and radio-friendly sound, primarily moving in the realm of Latin pop and rock. It features intense melodies and catchy choruses, while songs like Bailemos are described by Coti as influenced by tango, both lyrically and stylistically (nocturnal, slightly decadent), but with a modern band accompanying it. Bailemos and Otra Vez were the main singles that promoted the album.

The success of Canciones Para Llevar paved the way for Coti's international recognition, especially in Spain and Latin America, leading to the release of the platinum live album Esta Mañana y Otros Cuentos in 2005.
