The songs of Third Stage took 6 years to write, record, and release due to the legal battle between Boston and Epic Records.
Third Stage is mostly the work of Tom Scholz, as he composed the songs, arranged and produced the entire album, while also playing the guitars, bass, piano, and even some parts of the drums!
The single Amanda went to No.1 in the USA, as did the album. No.1 on Billboard and 4,000,000 copies sold in the USA alone.
