About the album Bon Jovi
What Jon Bon Jovi remembers from the early years of his band is that it was not a good rock band at all and that what saved the situation was Tico Torres' ability on the drums, who could keep the rhythm and this helped the others to evolve. Under these conditions, Bon Jovi was recorded between the years 1982 and 1983 at the Power Station studio in New York, which belonged to Bon Jovi's cousin, producer Tony Bongiovi.
The album musically moves between glam metal and hard rock. In reality, if the band Bon Jovi had not had the trajectory it did, probably no one would seek it out despite the fact that it is a noteworthy album for its genre, and furthermore, it contains the successful single – which endured over time – "Runaway" with the characteristic keyboards of Roy Bittan of the E Street Band (!)
The tremendous success of Bon Jovi in the second half of the 1980s swept along the debut as well, reaching at some point No. 43 on the Billboard, while in the USA it eventually became platinum. A similar trajectory was followed in many other countries.
