Body Count is an American thrash metal band formed in 1990 by Ice-T, one of the pioneers of rap, and guitarist Ernie C. The group is known for its unique combination of heavy metal and socio-political lyrics, often exploring themes of violence, racism, and social justice. Their self-titled album, "Body Count," was released in 1992 and contains the controversial track "Cop Killer." Body Count managed to attract attention from both critics and a wider audience, continuing to release music and tour with enthusiastic fans worldwide.
