About the album One Fierce Beer Coaster
Bloodhound Gang began in the state of Pennsylvania in the early '90s. Success would come for these young men in 1996 with their second album titled One Fierce Beer Coaster. Under the guidance of Jimmy Pop, who writes and performs the songs, the rest of the group throws rock, hip hop, latin, punk rock, rap metal, dance, and whatever else comes to mind into a blender, all sprinkled with lyrics that range from provocation to irony and fun, creating an album that is an endless party from start to finish. It should be noted that the fun and mischief start from the cover, where one can really see "one fierce beer coaster," as the album's title suggests.
The album includes a cover of It's Tricky by RUN D.M.C., a collaboration with Vanilla Ice on the song Boom, and here one will also find their first big hit called Fire Water Burn. The production belongs entirely to Jimmy Pop.
For a band that a few years ago was kicked out by Columbia Records, the 500,000 copies sold of One Fierce Beer Coaster was a small miracle.
