Away From The Sun by 3 Doors Down
About the album Away From The Sun
The album Away From The Sun by 3 Doors Down is the band's second studio work, which established their presence in the mainstream rock scene. It was released on November 12, 2002, by Universal Records.
Most of the songs were written by the band members: Brad Arnold, Matt Roberts, Chris Henderson, and Todd Harrell. In the track "Dangerous Game," Alex Lifeson from Rush contributed to the composition and production. The recording took place in the summer of 2002 at London Bridge Studios in Seattle, with producer Rick Parashar. Session musician Josh Freese participated on drums for the recording, as the band did not have a permanent drummer at that time.
The album reached No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and has been certified four times platinum in the USA. It includes the big hits When I'm Gone (No. 4 on the Hot 100) and the ballad Here Without You (No. 5 on the Hot 100).
