The Verve
Group
The Verve was an English rock band formed in 1990 in Wigan. It originally consisted of Richard Ashcroft (vocals), Nick McCabe (guitar), Simon Jones (bass), and Peter Salisbury (drums). Their music combines elements of psychedelic rock, shoegaze, and britpop. The band became globally known with the release of the album "Urban Hymns" in 1997, which included the successful song "Bitter Sweet Symphony". Despite their creative successes and commercial rise, the band faced many challenges, such as legal disputes and internal tensions, which led to multiple breakups and reunions.
