The Stone Roses were a British rock band formed in Manchester in 1983. They are considered one of the pioneering bands of the Madchester movement of the 1980s and 1990s. The original lineup consisted of Ian Brown (vocals), John Squire (guitar), Mani (bass), and Reni (drums). Their self-titled debut album, released in 1989, was hugely successful and includes songs such as "I Wanna Be Adored" and "I Am the Resurrection". Their unique sound combined influences from psychedelic rock, indie, and dance. After the release of their second album, "Second Coming", in 1994, the band disbanded in 1996. The Stone Roses reunited in 2011 and performed a series of successful concerts.
