The Selecter is a British ska band, formed in 1979 in Coventry, England. The main characteristics of their music are the mix of reggae and punk rock elements, which refer to the 2 Tone movement with which they are identified. Pauline Black is the iconic singer and a key member of the band. Their debut album, "Too Much Pressure", was successful and defined their unique sound. The Selecter continue to perform live and release recordings, maintaining their influence on the ska music scene.
