The Psychedelic Furs are a British rock band formed in 1977 in London. The band is known for its distinctive sound that combines post-punk with new wave influences and an exploration of psychedelic and art rock elements. The band initially consisted of brothers Richard Butler (vocals) and Tim Butler (bass), as well as Duncan Kilburn (saxophone), Roger Morris (guitar), Paul Wilson (drums), and John Ashton (guitar). Their music gained worldwide recognition with their albums famous for songs like "Pretty in Pink," which became the namesake of the well-known 1980s film. The Psychedelic Furs continued to evolve their sound throughout their career, influencing many future bands and artists.
