The Human League is a British synth-pop band formed in 1977 in Sheffield. They are considered one of the pioneers of the new wave and electronic music in the early 1980s. The Human League was initially composed of Martyn Ware, Ian Craig Marsh, and Philip Oakey, with the latter becoming the central figure of the band. With the addition of Susan Ann Sulley and Joanne Catherall, the band experienced enormous success with the album "Dare" in 1981, which included the globally successful singles "Don't You Want Me" and "Love Action". The Human League continues to create and tour, maintaining a steady presence in the music scene.
