Sade, born Helen Folasade Adu on January 16, 1959, in Nigeria, is a famous British singer, songwriter, and producer. She grew up in England, where she developed her love for jazz and soul music. She started her career in the 1980s and achieved international success with her band, also named Sade. Their music combines elements of jazz, soul, R&B, and pop, with a particular emphasis on Sade's melancholic and sensual voice. Their first major success came with the album "Diamond Life" in 1984, which included the now-classic track "Smooth Operator." She has won several Grammy Awards and is considered one of the most successful artists in her genre.
