New Order is a British band formed in 1980 in Manchester. They emerged from the remaining members of the band Joy Division, following the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis. Their music combines elements of post-punk and electronic dance music, and they have been considered pioneers of their genre. Some of their best-known tracks include "Blue Monday," "Bizarre Love Triangle," and "True Faith." New Order played a crucial role in the development of dance music during the 1980s and 1990s.
