George Harrison (February 25, 1943 – November 29, 2001) was an English musician, songwriter, and film producer, best known as the guitarist of the Beatles. Born and raised in Liverpool, Harrison showed an interest in music from a young age and soon joined the legendary band. He is considered the "quiet Beatle," bringing to the band influences from Indian music and Hinduism. Among his most famous compositions within the Beatles are the songs "Here Comes the Sun" and "Something." After the Beatles disbanded in 1970, Harrison continued a successful solo career, releasing albums such as "All Things Must Pass." He participated in film production and was a co-founder of Monty Python. He is also known for his charitable works, such as organizing the Concert for Bangladesh.
