Gang Of Four
Group
Gang Of Four is an influential British post-punk band that was formed in Leeds in 1976. The original lineup included Jon King (vocals), Andy Gill (guitar), Dave Allen (bass), and Hugo Burnham (drums). The band became known for their pioneering sound that combined elements of punk, funk, and dub, while their lyrics often dealt with political and social issues. Their first album, "Entertainment!" (1979), is considered one of the most important of the genre. Gang Of Four continued to influence many artists and bands, while they disbanded and reunited several times over the years.
