Exodus is a legendary thrash metal band from Richmond, California, which was formed in 1979. They have been recognized as part of the wave of legendary thrash metal bands of the 1980s, along with other bands such as Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth. Led by guitarist Gary Holt, Exodus has released many albums that have deeply influenced the heavy metal scene, with classic releases like "Bonded by Blood" and "Pleasures of the Flesh." Despite lineup changes and some periods of absence, Exodus remains an active and influential force in the thrash metal scene to this day.
