Elastica was a British rock band formed in 1992 in London. The original lineup of the band included Justine Frischmann (vocals, guitar), Justin Welch (drums), Annie Holland (bass), and Donna Matthews (guitar, vocals). Elastica became known for their distinctive sound that combined post-punk with pop melodies, and their debut album in 1995 achieved great commercial success. Some of their most famous hits include the songs "Connection" and "Waking Up". The band disbanded in 2001.
