Alice In Chains
Group
Alice In Chains is an American rock band formed in Seattle in 1987. The band became known for its distinctive combination of heavy metal and grunge, while the main features of their music are the vocal harmonies and dark lyrics. The founding members were Jerry Cantrell (guitar, vocals) and Sean Kinney (drums), with Layne Staley (singer) and Mike Starr (bass), who was later replaced by Mike Inez. Alice In Chains gained great success in the early 1990s with albums like "Facelift," "Dirt," and "Alice In Chains." Although Staley's death in 2002 affected the band, they reactivated with a new singer, William DuVall, and continued to release new music, maintaining their influence on the rock scene.
