Signing Off by UB40
About the album Signing Off
The formation of UB40 was part of the shift in British music in the late '70s. Their 1980 album Signing Off is considered one of the best albums of their career.
They prepared it for an entire year. It combines reggae and dub, while the lyrics are heavily politicized due to the changes Margaret Thatcher brought to English society.
In Britain, it sold 300,000 copies and reached No. 1.
