The Smiths by The Smiths
About the album The Smiths
Johnny Marr and Morrissey will give us the first samples of what they can truly create with their debut album in 1984, which bears the band's name as its title.
Loose atmospheric guitars and one of the most distinctive voices of all time, all to sing songs whose themes refer to child abuse (!)
The album reached No. 2 in Britain and its sales reached 100,000 copies. Not a bad start for one of the most characteristic British bands of the 1980s.
