Beatles For Sale by The Beatles
About the album Beatles For Sale
In August 1964, the Beatles met Bob Dylan in New York. This acquaintance was highly influential, and the first result was seen a few months later in the sound of the Beatles' fourth album titled Beatles For Sale. In this album, the Beatles have incorporated many elements of folk rock and even country into their compositions.
Out of the fourteen songs contained in the album, only eight are their own. The rest are their approach to songs like Chuck Berry's Rock 'n' Roll Music or Buddy Holly's Words Of Love. This had to do with the influence of rock music that originated from the United States of America, but mainly from the fact that all four felt exhausted from all the commitments they had taken on over the past two years or so, which had stifled their creativity and inspiration. The fatigue is even evident on their faces on the cover.
Despite this, Beatles For Sale did not cause any decline in the popularity of the Beatles. On the contrary, the No. 1 hits came one after the other for this album as well.
