About the album Talking Back To The Night
The 1980s have begun, and several artists with roots and beginnings in the 1960s are experimenting with synthesizers and the new sound they offer. Steve Winwood does the same in Talking Back To The Night in 1982. Winwood is responsible for all the synthesizers in the album's recording, and there is no trace of guitar.
Valerie is the album's opening track and its first single, which achieved some success at the time of its release. Another notable moment of the album is the title track. The production is entirely by Steve Winwood.
The album will reach No. 6 in the UK and No. 28 in the USA.
