In 2001, the fourth album of the British Stereo MC's was released, and the truth is that the general public had forgotten them since the success of Connected was nine years behind. Nevertheless, Deep Down & Dirty received mostly positive impressions and momentarily brought them back into the spotlight.
The first single from the album was Deep Down & Dirty, followed by We Belong in This World Together and Running.
The success of the album was solely and exclusively in Europe. In the United Kingdom, it reached No. 17 and sold 60,000 copies.
