About the album Even In Arcadia

Even In Arcadia is the fourth studio album by the British band Sleep Token, released on May 9, 2025, via RCA Records. It is the follow-up to the successful Take Me Back to Eden of 2023 and established the band as one of the most influential forces in modern alternative music. Many hailed it as the "album of the year" for 2025, highlighting its emotional intensity and the band's ability to evolve its mythology.

The album is characterized by an eclectic mix of genres, making it difficult to categorize it into just one genre. Thus, Sleep Token, in order to create Even In Arcadia, creatively blend elements from alternative metal, progressive djent, R&B, indie pop, trap, and even elements of gospel and jazz (!). The production by Carl Bown is considered extremely polished, with a clean sound that allows synths and piano to coexist with "heavy" guitars. The singer Vessel uses a wide range, from soft melodic singing and falsettos to "black metal" screams and rap flow, while on the other hand, the drummer ii stands out for his complex and technical playing, which is considered a central element of their sound.

The album achieved massive commercial success and received rave reviews. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 127,000 units in its first week (!). The main singles were Emergence, Caramel, and Damocles. Emergence was the band's first single to enter the charts (No. 17 in the United Kingdom).
