I Feel The Spirit by Prince Buster
About the album I Feel The Spirit
In 1963, Jamaican Cecil Bustamente Campbell, also known as Prince Buster, made his debut with I Feel The Spirit. The cover was a photograph taken by Slovak photographer Dezo Hoffmann, who captured many personalities of the 1960s with his lens, including the Beatles.
The album includes the song Madness, due to which the English band Morris and the Minors later changed their name to Madness, wanting to honor Prince Buster.
I Feel The Spirit was the first ska album released outside of Jamaica. Specifically, it was released in the United Kingdom by Blue Beat Records.
