About the album Fells Like Home
At twenty-five, American Norah Jones with her second album, Feels Like Home in 2004, will establish herself once and for all in the minds of music-loving audiences in America and Europe as one of the most notable new performers of the new decade that had begun to unfold.
Norah Jones offers her audience an album with the classic approach of alternative country. The album is produced by herself and the legendary Turkish-American producer Arif Mardin in one of his last works before his death in 2006. Among the most interesting moments of the album is Jones' duet with the legendary figure of country music, Dolly Parton, on the third single from the album titled Creepin' In. Another special moment is the cover of a Tom Waits song, which had been heard in the 2001 film "Big Bad Love". The album closes with the song Don't Miss You At All, which is a combination of Duke Ellington's music and lyrics written by Norah Jones.
The album was a huge commercial success for Norah Jones. The album's sales are estimated to exceed 12,000,000 copies worldwide.
