Contribution by Mica Paris
About the album Contribution
The British Mica Paris releases her second album in 1990 titled Contribution, an album full of danceable pop and R&B songs that aptly reflect the dominant trend in dance music of those times, a trend called New Jack Swing.
Most of the fourteen compositions on the album are the work of the production and songwriting team consisting of Andres Levin, Camus Mare Celli, Marga Roman, and Michele Vice. Besides the songs from the above, Mica Paris also performs two covers: one is of Prince's song If I Love U 2nite and the other is More Love by Smokey Robinson And The Miracles from 1967. The guitarist Nile Rodgers contributes with his guitar to most of the songs.
Contribution reached No. 26 in the United Kingdom, where it went silver due to the 60,000 copies sold there.
