About the album Old Ideas

In 2012, the year Leonard Cohen released his twelfth album titled Old Ideas, the Canadian artist was approaching his 78th year. Old Ideas - as strange as it may sound - is the Cohen album that reached the highest position on the Billboard, reaching No. 3 on the Top-200 (!) This discographic work of Leonard Cohen consists of ten folk pop compositions in which - as always - the voice of the performer and creator dominates.

Leonard Cohen composed and recorded the songs of the album between January and August 2011. In the composition and production of four songs, he collaborated with the American producer Patrick Leonard, while the voice of Sharon Robinson accompanies Cohen on the vocals in several parts of the album.

The album reached No. 2 in the United Kingdom, No. 3 in France, and topped the charts in many countries such as Hungary, New Zealand, Belgium, Canada, the Netherlands, Finland, etc. This success of the album was accompanied by a world tour that brought Cohen to all corners of the globe - all this close to his 80 years (!)
