About the album Hot Chocolate

The six-member band Hot Chocolate from London released its second studio album in 1975 and chose the band's name as the title of the record. Most of the songs on the album are compositions by the band's lead singer, Errol Brown, who was of Jamaican descent.

The album's great success was, of course, the song You Sexy Thing, which was the second single released from the album and reached No. 2 in the UK, while at the same time becoming a massive international disco hit. The truth is that the other compositions do not have this musical style and mostly range between funk and soul with a clear pop identity, however. The producer of Hot Chocolate was the Briton Mickie Most.

This album was the second most successful in terms of chart performance. In the United Kingdom, it reached No. 34 and in the United States of America No. 41.
