Supernature by Goldfrapp
About the album Supernature
The British duo Goldfrapp, consisting of Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory, released their third studio album titled Supernature in 2005. In Supernature, Goldfrapp continues to offer their fans electronic music, but the prevailing atmosphere is more pop, without this meaning that there aren't ambient moments on the record.
According to Alison Goldfrapp, this happened because they saw that the singles from their previous album were successful in clubs, so they shifted towards a dance and pop style. The production of the eleven compositions belongs to them. The singles that stood out from the album were Ooh La La, Number 1, Ride A White Horse, and Fly Me Away.
Sales of Supernature exceeded 1,000,000 copies globally, and Goldfrapp definitely moved to another level within the world of electro-pop music. Half of the copies were sold in the United Kingdom, where they saw their album reach No. 2 on the charts, inaugurating with this record a series of five consecutive albums, all of which entered the Top-10 in the UK, though none reached No. 1.
