About the album All 'n All
In 1977, Earth, Wind & Fire had their eighth album of their career ready. The title was All 'n' All and it was an album full of joy stemming from the relentless funk that ran through the majority of the songs on the album. Beyond funk, disco, soul, and R&B elements came to add even more shine to this album by the band from Chicago.
The production of All 'n' All was done by the founder, composer, and singer of the band, Maurice White, who found inspiration to write and oversee the majority of this album after a month-long trip to Brazil and Argentina. This particular album skyrocketed the popularity of Earth, Wind & Fire. The single Fantasy played its own role in this success. The Japanese artist Shusei Nagaoka designed the cover theme of the album, whose inspiration obviously comes from Ancient Egypt.
All 'n' All reached No.12 on the Billboard and sold 3,000,000 copies in the U.S. All 'n' All is Earth, Wind & Fire's most commercially successful album and in sales is only behind the 1978 Best Of.
