About the album Future Days

Future Days is a unique musical work by the German band Can, among the albums released by the group Can during the 1970s. Future Days, with its extremely experimental sound, has been a musical legacy for all those who explored ambient music in the subsequent decades.

The album was released in late 1973, while it was recorded between July and September of the same year. The first side of the album consists of three compositions, while the second side is occupied by the 20-minute composition Bel Air, for which only one recording attempt was needed (!). The production is by Can themselves and is one of the most complex they attempted on any of their records.

Future Days was the last album by Can to feature the Japanese performer Damo Suzuki.
