Tommy Bolin was an American guitarist and composer, born on August 1, 1951, in Sioux City, Iowa. He became known as the guitarist for the bands James Gang and Deep Purple, replacing Ritchie Blackmore in 1975. Bolin was known for his dynamic and expressive playing style, which combined elements of rock, jazz, blues, and funk. His career, although short, had a major impact on the rock music of the 1970s. He also released solo albums, with "Teaser" (1975) being one of his most important works. Bolin passed away prematurely on December 4, 1976, leaving behind a strong musical legacy.
