The Saints
The Saints are one of the most important chapters in the history of punk rock, having formed in Brisbane, Australia in 1973. With leading figures singer Chris Bailey and guitarist Ed Kuepper, the band was pioneering, releasing the iconic single "I'm Stranded" in 1976, shortly before or simultaneously with the punk explosion in Great Britain. Their first album, "(I'm) Stranded," is now considered monumental for the genre. Subsequently, the band evolved, experimenting with horns and more complex arrangements on albums such as "Eternally Yours." Despite frequent lineup changes and Kuepper's departure in 1979, Bailey kept the name alive for decades, delivering hits like "Just Like Fire Would." The legacy of the Saints remains indelible, having influenced countless bands and earning a place in the ARIA Hall of Fame
