The members of the original lineup were Eddie Levert, Walter Williams, William Powell, Bobby Massey, and Bill Isles. Their commercial success soared in the 1970s under the guidance of producers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. Some of their biggest hits include the songs "Back Stabbers," "Love Train," and "For the Love of Money." The O'Jays are known for their signature 'Philly soul' sound and their exquisite vocal harmony. In 2005, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, recognizing their impact on the music industry.
