The Jeff Healey Band
Group
The Jeff Healey Band was a Canadian blues rock band formed in 1985, led by guitarist and singer Jeff Healey. Healey, having lost his sight during childhood due to eye cancer, developed a unique guitar style, playing the guitar on his lap. The band achieved international success with their debut album, "See the Light," in 1988, which included the hit "Angel Eyes." The Jeff Healey Band continued to blend blues rock with jazz elements and remained known for their live performances until their disbandment. Jeff Healey remained active in the music scene until his death in 2008.
