The Chameleons are a post-punk band from Manchester, England, formed in 1981. The band is known for its atmospheric sound and the intense themes of its lyrics. Consisting of members Mark Burgess, Reg Smithies, Dave Fielding, and John Lever, The Chameleons released their debut album "Script of the Bridge" in 1983, gaining recognition for their emotional intensity and pioneering sound production. Despite several breaks and reunions in their career, The Chameleons' influence remains strong in the alternative and post-punk music scene.
