The Blue Nile is a Scottish band formed in 1981 in Glasgow. Consisting of founding members Paul Buchanan (vocals, guitar), Robert Bell (bass), and Paul Joseph Moore (keyboards), The Blue Nile became known for their unique, atmospheric sound that combines elements of pop, jazz, and electronic music. Their debut album, "A Walk Across the Rooftops" (1984), is considered a classic, while their next album, "Hats" (1989), solidified their reputation with critical and commercial success. Despite their limited output and rare appearances, they have gained dedicated fans thanks to the emotional depth and sensitivity of their music.
