Soda Stereo was an iconic rock band from Argentina formed in 1982 by Gustavo Cerati (vocals, guitar), Zeta Bosio (bass), and Charly Alberti (drums). They are known as one of the most influential and popular bands in Latin America, significantly contributing to the Latin American rock movement both within and outside Argentina. Their musical style combines elements of new wave, post-punk, and pop, creating a unique sound that captured the hearts of millions of fans. With hits like "De Música Ligera" and "Cuando Pase el Temblor," Soda Stereo achieved massive commercial success. They remained active until 1997, and after their breakup, their reputation continued, making them a symbol of the Latin American rock music scene.
