Roger Waters is an English musician, composer, and producer who became widely known as the co-founder and principal creative force of Pink Floyd, one of the most influential groups in the history of rock music. Born on September 6, 1943, in Great Britain, Roger Waters took on the role of bassist and lead vocalist of the band after the departure of Syd Barrett. During his time with Pink Floyd, he was instrumental in creating masterpieces such as the albums "The Dark Side of the Moon," "Wish You Were Here," "Animals," and "The Wall." In 1985, he left the band to pursue a solo career, in which he continued to explore political and social themes through his music. The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking, Radio K.A.O.S. and Amused to Death are some of Roger Waters' solo works.
